Saturday changeover preferred in high season, but can be flexible.
Apartment will be ready by 4pm on day of arrival, but must be vacated by 10am on day of departure.

Utility room: Apartment also has washing machine, clothes airer, iron and ironing board.
Living Rooms: Large lounge/diner with patio doors to private sun terrace. 21" flat screen television, UK Sky TV, DVD/CD player. 2 chocolate leather, 3-seater, deluxe, metal action sofa beds (sleeps 4). Mexican Oak dining table and 6 chairs.
Other: Private sun terrace with Rattan-style sofa and armchairs, coffee table and outdoor plants, overlooking shared pool. For those with young children you can take comfort from being able to keep your eye on them from the sun terrace whilst they play at the pool. Private, secure underground car parking. Apartment is situated on the 2nd floor and can be accessed via stairs and elevator. Complex has beautiful landscaped gardens, full of exotic and fragrant plants. The community benefits from secure gated access with video phone entrance for added security.

Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service: Bed linen, tea towels and towels are provided. Apartment is cleaned prior to arrival and after departure. Please bring your own towels for use by the poolside. English-speaking representative on hand to help. Welcome pack can be provided on request.

Wheelchair access

Both the apartment and complex is wheelchair friendly. The apartment can be reached from the underground parking via the elevator, the apartment door has flush thresholds. The complex benefits from permanent ramped access into the apartment block and right down to the poolside. The beach at La Cala de Mijas has full wheelchair facilities including extensive beachside disabled parking, disabled showers & toilets plus decked wheelchair access right to the water's edge.

Activities

Golf: Apartment is situated on the Calanova Golf Course. Fall out of bed and onto the course!
Well the Costa del Sol doesn’t have the nickname of ‘Costa del Golf’ for nothing! There are nearly 60 golf courses in Andalucia, of which 30 are on the Costa del Sol, so you’ll be spoilt for choice! The wonderful fine weather makes golf popular all year round.

General information

Coast/beach: La Cala Beach is 5 minutes away by car. Perfect for families.
The beach at La Cala de Mijas has full wheelchair facilities including extensive beachside disabled parking, disabled showers & toilets plus decked wheelchair access right to the water's edge.
Travel: La Cala is ideally located for access to both Malaga (20 mins) and Gibraltar (45mins) airports, serviced by Easyjet, RyanAir, BMI Baby, Monarch and many other airlines. Car hire is cheap and highly recommended to enable the traveller to visit the multitude of attractions within an hour's drive of La Cala. We have used Helle Hollis car hire many times and are a member of their Friends & Family club, which provides our guests with discounted car hire rates.
Distances: La Cala de Mijas
This once, small, fishing village has developed into a hive of tourism in recent years, but it has still managed to retain something of its Andalucian village-by-the-sea atmosphere. The long beaches are well cared for and clean, with soft golden sand and breath-taking views. Some wonderful restaurants and fine dining can be found around town or overlooking the sea.Saturday nights in the hot summer months of July and August are magical in La Cala. The promenade becomes a festival of classical music and Flamenco dancing. With the outline of the old 16th Century watchtower of Torre Vieja as a backdrop and moon reflecting down on the expanse of sea, the village celebrates a season of Noches de Luna y Playa (Nights of Moon and Beach).Various outdoor activities are within a short drive of La Cala. There are several locations in the La Cala hills to enjoy pony-trekking, with professional guides offering riding lessons for the less experienced rider. Or maybe you would prefer to watch the horse races at the fantastic Hipodromo del Sol, located in the hills above La Cala, offering night-time racing during the summer.
